A march will take place this Monday in Villa Madero to demand justice for the retiree who passed away after being run over by a bus. The driver of line 103 remains detained and is expected to testify soon.
The incident occurred on Thursday, October 24, when Olga Susana Cornachiolli, 78 years old, was crossing Vélez Sarsfield street and Pedro de Mendoza avenue and was hit by the bus, whose driver, a 25-year-old named Pedro Domínguez, braked about 40 meters after passengers alerted him to what had happened. Unfortunately, Olga died on the spot.
The accused faces charges of "manslaughter" and is expected to testify in the coming hours before prosecutor Alejandra García from the Functional Instruction Unit No. 8 of La Matanza. Although there are two security cameras that recorded the moment of the accident, more footage is being sought to clarify what happened with greater precision.
Alejandro Uda, the deceased's nephew, described Olga as a fighter, as she took care of her two sisters, aged 80 and 90, who had mobility issues. The march this Monday seeks to demand justice for the tragic loss and remember Olga Susana Cornachiolli as she was: a woman committed to her family and her surroundings.
